Processed Foods Future
People may believe it is unreasonable to say food is addictive and that
it can be like drug addictions since it is necessary to live, but the processed
foods we eat we don’t NEED. In fact, those foods we eat are the reason as to
why new diseases come about and many of the deaths in the United States are
related to food and/or food-related diseases.
The chemicals in our genetically monitored food have an impact on many diseases. To prove this, studies say that foods in laboratories are infused with sugar and hydrogenated fats that tease our taste buds and provide us with little more than empty calories that boost blood sugar, cause weight gain and initiate chronic illnesses including cancer, heart disease and diabetes.
Along with being addictive, many processed foods contain chemicals that can lead to destroying our organs and bones also. Not only is processed food a leading cause into obesity epidemics and various diseases, but non-processed foods tend to run cheaper due to how many extra ingredients are included in processed foods.

Many companies are already looking forward to the future of food. Their thought
of innovation in the food industry includes understanding the science of
nanotechnology, genomics, biotechnology, synthetic biology and, yes, even
quantum mechanics to create a new development of our “food”.
All of these explanations give reasons as to why we should avoid processed foods now and in the future. I think in that in the near future our obesity rate will rise at least 10 to 15% if we, as Americans, continue our eating habits consisting of almost all processed foods. A way to fix this upcoming problem is to stop eating processed foods. Now I don’t mean completely wipe out the processing of foods in our eating habits, but to decrease how many times we decide to go out to eat anywhere. Along with this, it would be helpful to start to use those ovens at home again. Homemade meals aren’t only more nutritious and organic, but they have the same satisfying taste that junk food gives you after you have about twenty helpings of it.
